Working Time

The working time regulations for civil servants given in the State Civil Servants Act (Landesbeamtengesetz) do not apply to university professors. University professors with a civil servant status as well as university professors not subject to collective agreements are obliged to be present during the lecturing period, during examinations, consulting hours, and meetings of KIT bodies (obligation to be present). University professors also have to be adequately present and reachable during the lecture-free period. December 24 and 31 are generally free.
