Separation Allowance
Separation allowance is granted to reimburse expenses of employees who have to work at a place other than their previous place of work or residence for official reasons. Separation allowance can only be granted, if employees are unconditionally willing to relocate from the date the confirmation of reimbursement was issued, but are unable to relocate due to a housing shortage at the new place of work and the region of the place of work. In order to be qualified as unconditionally willing to relocate, persons entitled to a separation allowance have to make continuous efforts, i.e. without interruption exhausting all possibilities, to obtain residence.
