Governance

Governance is understood as the legal and factual regulatory framework for the responsible management of KIT at all its levels. This regulatory and strategic framework is based on Article 5 (3) of the Basic Law, the Law on the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Joint Statutes of KIT and forms a sound basis for the development and execution of efficient, sustainable processes. Governance enables KIT to sustainably fulfill its three core tasks of research, teaching and innovation in a national and international context. It is of particular importance that KIT thinks and acts as one institution.

Further information on the topic of “Governance” can be found in the Governance field of action of the KIT 2025 Strategy (in German only).
