Situation of female professors at KIT

The aim of the project, which was launched in 2021, is to quantitatively and qualitatively survey and analyze the working conditions of female professors at KIT, with the direct involvement of the female scientists concerned. In addition to data evaluations on salary structures, equipment, and visibility, an online survey of all professors was conducted with external support. The target group was asked, among other things, how they perceive the working and general conditions at KIT and whether they are satisfied with their equipment, workload, and utilization of capacity. This analysis will be repeated twice more at three-year intervals. The aim is to analyze whether and how conditions are changing and to derive possible courses of action and measures.
